The Waller County Commissioners court recently approved an incentive deal for Coloplast, a Danish-owned medical supplies and medical devices company. The deal requires Coloplast to meet a minimum in taxable inventories. At the current county property tax rate, the deal will generate about $3.9 million in tax revenue over a ten year period. If Coloplast exceeds the minimum required inventory, tax revenue will increase. In addition, they are bringing 45 jobs along with a generous benefits package. Coloplast is the second Danish company that has established operations in Waller County, the first being Grundfos in Brookshire.
